LOOK AT DIS BEAUTY

Coral Reefs and Mangroves serve as an important environmental aspect in our planet. They sure look nice from a far, but they beauty shines up close with the different kinds of species flourishing the area. Many different species are still being discovered today in these kinds of areas. Here's a taste of what lies beneath the spectacular beauties of the Earth.

FUN TIME WITH THE KIDS

It's not what you think. Our class went down to teach second graders on how to find places with google earth. Well actually when we went down they pretty much knew already how to use it. Cairo, the kid we were assigned, already knew what to do and we were just kind of just sitting there saying "You know you could do this..." and Cairo would say, "Yeah I already know" I even learned a thing or two about google earth that I didn't know before. The kid taught me how to fly an airplane in the Great Wall of China and on Mars. It was a good learning experience, teaching about communication and patience. Google Earth helps people like the kids and even us learn about different places in the world.

China gives parents a break?

As we all know China was famous for its one-child-policy. If people don't know what it is then you need to re-read the title. It's when a family in China is only allowed to have one child, no more no less. They've been pretty strict about it for quite a while since they want to control the population in China. It worked so far and the population has been quite stable over the years. But in a recent article I have read China is going to allow families to have two children, but only if one parent is an only child. The main reason for the sudden change is that China is getting old, meaning there are more old people now a days than there are younger ones. In the future, if the one child policy was still in tact, there would probably have been too many old people and not enough young ones to take care of them. I think it's pretty weird that they only noticed now that China is an ageing country, but it's understandable that they are concerned for the old people.
